Fees and budgets

Every coin has its own vault and its own books. Nothing is pooled between coins.

Where fees come from

pump.fun pays a creator fee on every trade of a coin (0.30% on the bonding curve at the time of writing). Because the coin's creator is its vault, these fees gather for the coin. The platform collects them into the vault whenever $10 have gathered. They stay in SOL.

Where every fee dollar goes

1. Refund
If the launcher prepaid, the first fees repay those 0.5 SOL.
2. Creator share
After release and above $55,000 market cap: 30% of what remains.
3. Build budget
65% of the rest: pays the stations and updates of this game.
4. Hosting reserve
15%: pays this game's multiplayer servers.
5. Prize pool
10%: paid to the best players, in SOL.
6. Platform
10%.

What a build costs

A build is charged what it used: model usage, generated images and sounds, and the time of the machine it ran on. The cost of each station is shown on the coin's page and booked against the coin's build budget. A station cannot start without budget and cannot spend more than its cap.

Payouts

Refunds to launchers, prizes and creator shares are paid in SOL out of the coin's vault. Each payout is released by the platform before it is sent, and its transaction is recorded.
